FAQs
What is MEND Water?
MEND is a Ultra Pure water brand that delivers a healthy balance of electrolytes to support overall health and wellbeing
How is the water itself better?
Packaged water should be healthy and pure. Our multi-step purification process removes all impurities, minerals, and things you don’t need. We believe it is the purest form of hydration available and consistently will provide the best taste. Our purification process includes reverse osmosis, carbon filtration, and mineral removal for purity which gives MEND Water its clean, crisp taste. And for product safety, we use a UV light and ozonation process. MEND Water is free from chromium, arsenic, MTBE, chlorine, fluoride and trace pharmaceuticals.
Are your bottles BPA free?
Yes! Our bottles are 100% BPA free.
What is the pH level of your water?
With a 7.0 - 8.0pH, we strive to be closest to pH neutral - which we feel offers the best hydration for your body. Our 8-step water process includes reverse osmosis, carbon filtration and UV light treatment - we feel the purest available, with no added minerals. We are happy to share our water report with all the specifics on our water, just send us a message.
Does MEND container Fluoride or Chlorine?
There is no Fluoride or Chlorine in MEND Water.
How does MEND compare to in-home water treatment systems, such as filters or ionizers?
MEND provides superior water quality through our process of microfiltration, reverse osmosis and ultraviolet light exposure which results in our clean, smooth-tasting water that is 99.9% pure. We ensure uniform quality through our sophisticated and proprietary manufacturing process.
Why don't pH strips for on MEND Water?
The pH strips (or Litmus Paper) which are commonly used to test the pH of urine or saliva cannot test accurately on waters as pure as MEND. In order to accurately test the pH level of any purified water, a calibrated pH meter must be used. Furthermore, many paper test kits require a Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) of at least 150ppm for an accurate reading; MEND consistently has less than 40ppm, due in part to the purified water used in our proprietary process.
What is pH? What does this mean?
“pH” is the standard measure of how alkaline a liquid is. Standard water has a neutral pH of 7. We have raised the pH level of MEND to a supercharged pH between 7.0 - 8.0. It is measured on a scale of 0-14, with 7 being neutral, 0 being the most acidic, and 14 being the most alkaline. For every unit decrease in pH, it increases the acidity tenfold so for example, if tomato juice has a pH of 4, it is ten times more acidic than black coffee which has a pH of 5.
What do electrolytes do?
Electrolytes are essential minerals that are involved in supporting balance within each cell. Sweating and excessive caffeine intakes can lead to significant losses in electrolytes. Drinking an adequate amount of water that has nutritionally significant amounts of electrolytes, like MEND, can support hydration and rehydration.
How much should I drink?
Every human body is different so consumption in general will be different for different people. Always consult your medical physician if you have any questions. MEND can be consumed in place of your suggested amount of drinking water, or half your body weight in ounces of water per day.
